Founder Biographies
Jeffrey Jackson
Jeffrey Jackson is co-founder of Mitchell, Maxwell & Jackson, the nation's largest independently owned, residential appraisal and consulting firm. Mr. Jackson is a graduate of Manhattanville College where he was a disciple of real estate and housing scholar, Dr. Edward Ryan. Combined with his previous professional experience in the fields of construction and banking led to Mr. Jackson becoming a certified appraiser in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey. He is the Managing Director of Cooperative Data Corp., and Chief Economist of The Market Measure, a quarterly residential market analysis. He is also a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, Westchester and Greenwich Board of Realtors and a Recognized Expert Witness on both State and Federal levels.
Steven Maxwell Knobel
Steven Maxwell Knobel a co-founding partner of Mitchell, Maxwell & Jackson, earned degrees in Business and American Studies from Skidmore College. A lifelong New Yorker, Mr. Knobel has been appraising and collecting data for more than 15 years. In addition to being a Certified New York Appraiser, Mr. Knobel is an expert in cooperative housing finances as well as the complex markets of New York and the Hamptons. Mr. Knobel has counseled numerous national lenders on the complexities of appraising cooperative housing in the New York markets. Mr. Knobel oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm and he is a Managing Director of Cooperative Data Corp., the nation's largest data collection company of residential cooperative housing information.
